Egyptian trade delegation in Iraqi Kurdistan

Erbil, July 25 (AKnews) – The Kurdistan Cabinet advisor for international relations announced on Sunday that an Egyptian trade delegation will arrive to Kurdistan Region.

"There are believes that the joint delegation will arrive to Kurdistan region at 9:00 P.M (Iraq time) via Erbil International Airport", said Jihan Rashid Snedi.

"The Egyptian trade delegation planned to talk with the chief of Kurdistan Commerce Chamber about reconstruction, investment, business, technology, agriculture and higher education during its stay in Kurdistan," Snedi noted. It includes 38 figures, among which the State Minister for investment affairs and the Deputy Prime Minister.

"Another Egyptian trade delegation will be received by a group of representatives and senior officials of Kurdistan regional government (KRG) at 12:00 pm (local time) in Erbil airport", he added.

The delegation's visit to Kurdistan Region aims at meeting the region's president and observe the latest economic development, he added.

The President of the Divan of Council of Ministers Nouri Othman reported, "The Egyptian delegation’s visit to Kurdistan came after the diplomatic visit of Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani to Egypt and Jordan."

President Barzani carried out a four-days visit to both Jordan and Egypt after being invited by the Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak on July 4.
