ERBIL, June 30 (AKnews)- The current dust storm in the Kurdistan Region will last 24 more hours, Kurdistan seismology and meteorology director said.
The dust storm was lighter two days ago but since yesterday it has intensified, Hassan Wahhab said.
Wahhab added the wind carrying dust particles which has hit Kurdistan and some areas in southern and central Iraq is coming from India and is called low pressure of warm season.
The storm began last week on Saturday.
The dust storms have been hitting Iraq and Kurdistan in recent years. Observers believed the storms hit the country almost 300 times and cause material and life damages.
