News -> Two PKK fighters killed in military operation

ERBIL, July 4 (AKnews)- Two guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed in an operation by Turkish army, southeast of Turkey, Firat news agency, linked with the Kurdish organization cited an official statement.

Mustefa Ozdemir and Nadir Tunc who both joined the guerrillas in 2011 were killed two days ago at 02.30 p.m. in Vengin district of Pilur, Dersim, according to a statement by People's Defense Forces (HGP, the military wing of PKK).

The statement said the causalities of the Turkish army in this operation are still unknown.

PKK's armed struggle since 1984for ethnic rights to millions of Kurds in Turkey has claimed the lives of more than 45,000 civilians, fighters, policemen and soldiers .
