ERBIL, August 5 (AKnews) – A woman drowned today in the Balajo water
project in Sirwan River after escaping from dogs, said the director of
civil police in Kalar.
Ibrahim Mohammed said a 30-year-old
Arab woman (N.F.Y) was going to her brother's house at 3:30am for having
Shur but a number of dogs followed her. She was scared of the dogs and
unfortunately drowned in Balajo water project.
Mohammed said the woman’s body has yet to be found and teams are still searching.
The woman was a Salih Agha resident in Qoratu district.
Balajo water project connects water from Sirwan to Khanaqin.
