ERBIL, August 18 (AKnews) – The Ministry of Justice said the
general prosecutor's function is to criticize decisions and he has no
right to arrest or free anybody.
A newspaper claimed that the general prosecutor in the Kurdistan Region freed and captured some people.
Ministry
spokesperson Nariman Talib denied the allegation and said: "These
claims are baseless. When you accuse someone you must have his name and
dossier number. You must also have the arrest and release time.
"These allegations are just gossip. The general prosecutor has no right to free nor arrest people."
