135 foreigners deported this year due to viruses in Kurdistan Region

ERBIL, August 18 (AKnews) – Over the last eight months 135
foreigners have been deported from Iraq due to carrying virus and
transmitting diseases, said the director of the Erbil residency office.

Anwar said: "Some 84,000 foreigners have visited the Erbil residency
office this year and asked to stay in the Kurdistan Region. Most of them
are from Syrian and Turkey. Some 145,000 foreigners visited our office
last year.
"Some 135 carriers of viruses, such AIDS and
Hepatitis B or C, have been returned to their country since the
beginning of this year.
"We will not let any foreigners enter
the Kurdistan Region without a medical test. Virus carriers are not
allowed to stay in the country."
