Sulaimaniyah, Mar. 13 (AKnews) – An official from the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) of Netherlands announced that the commission has seized a number of ballot boxes of the Iraqis living in exile. The representatives of the Kurdistan Alliance List (KAL) and Gorran (change) list are threatening of refusing the results.

"We sorted 40% of the ballot papers at the IHEC's Utrecht office", Rekawt Ismail said.

The Kurdish lists have got incredible results especially the KAL", the KAL has got two thousand and 94 votes, Gorran 1406 votes, and both of the Kurdistan Islamic Group (KIG) and the Kurdistan Islamic Union lists have got very few votes" according to Ismail.

Under the pretext of checking the votes, The IHEC have seized 5160 ballot papers that are mostly of the Kurdish voters originally from Kirkuk, Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, and Mosul provinces and now living in the exile, according to Ismail.

The KAL and Gorran put away their differences and agreed not to sign the results.

As for the IHEC, it has decided to recount the votes on March 14, which voters are mostly from Kirkuk province, Ismail said.

70 thousand Iraqis are residents in Holland, and are mostly Kurds. Only 30 thousand of them were eligible to vote. One voting center covering 25 stations was opened and Iraqis from France and Belgium were heading to the Netherlands to cast their votes.

Iraq Vote started on, March 7 Sunday. 19 million people in 18 Iraqi provinces were entitled to elect 325 Iraqi parliament members, 82 of them would be women. One million and 900 thousand voters were to cast ballots in 16 countries outside Iraq.
