Iraqi Parliament legal term expires Monday

Erbil, March 15 (AKnews) – The time for parliament reshuffle in Iraq is approaching after the parliamentary poll took place on March 7. The current parliament term will finish Monday, an official says.
Member of the Iraqi Parliament, Tanya Tal'at Monday announced that as the official working ends Monday the legal term of Iraqi Parliament will expire.
Furthermore, the constitutional article No. 63 indicates that alongside the end of the parliament term also of the MPs' immunity will be removed.
There will be no legislative authority in Iraq as well until the new body will be sworn in, that may take a long time for the poll results are late, Tal'at added.
After the removal of Saddam's regime from power the first parliamentary poll in Iraq took place on December 15 2005.
The 275-member body of parliament held the first session on March 16, 2006 that was led by Adnan Pachachi.
