BAGHDAD, June 12 (AKnews) – The State of Law Coalition (SLC) led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki revealed today about the possible removal of a number of signatures on the request to withdraw confidence from the government.

Nuri al-MalikiThe SLC added that President Jalal Talabani will not send a request to withdraw the confidence in the absence of constitutional justification.

Leader in the coalition Salman al-Moussawi said: "There is assured information about the withdrawal of the signatures despite the fact that their current number didn't reach the legal limit and this was recognized by President Jalal Talabani.

"All political parties resorted to the President of the Republic to shorten the time being the option to withdraw the constitutional trust."

Moussawi did not mentioning the names of specific blocs.

The parties seeking to withdraw confidence from Maliki met two days ago in Erbil and addressed Talabani about the accuracy of signatures delivered to him. The efforts of these parties faced a setback after PM Maliki was able to attract about 20 MPs from Iraqiya for his side.

The parties of the National Alliance (NA), except the Sadrists, refuse to withdraw confidence from the government and support the option of dialogue according to the initiative of President Jalal Talabani.
