BAGHDAD, Aug. 28 (AKnews) - The Iraqi Council of Representatives today resumed its sessions after the end of its holiday, which lasted for about 20 days.
The Council of Representatives resumed its sessions while a group of laws are waiting to be approved because of the political disputes, including the laws of Federal Court, the Supreme Judicial Council, elections and the proposed amnesty law.
MP Omar al-Jabbouri said: "The council began holding its session today in the presence of the presidency of the council after a meeting between the presidency with the heads of political blocs and the committees of the council."
According to the media department of the Council of Representatives, 225 MPs attended the 17th meeting in the current legislative term.
