Iraq’s Arab Cup football dream ends in semi-final

ERBIL, July 4 (AKnews) – Iraq’s football dream has ended after it
lost 2-1 against Morocco in the semi-final stage of the Arab Cup.
Morocco
scored two goals in the first half of the match. Morocco showed good
performance by its strikers and Iraqi players were unable to score until
later in the match.
Iraq had a penalty by Mustafa Karim in extra time, which resulted in its one and only goal.
Iraq has won the Arab Cup the most out of all the competing teams, but its winning streak ended yesterday.
Iraq reached the Arab Cup semi-final after drawing 1-1 against Sudan on June 31.
Iraq had one draw, one loss and two wins in the cup.
