BAGHDAD, July 25 (AKnews) - The head of the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation stated Wednesday that the federation contracted two professionals from Thailand for one season.
Mahdi Dwaiger said the contract was signed with the trainers in the Thai capital, Bangkok, at the headquarter of the federation.
He pointed out that financial reasons prevented the federation from reaching an agreement with a female trainer from Thailand to lead the Iraqi women's team.
The coaches will arrive in Iraq in August to start their jobs.
The Iraqi national team won third place in the Asian Championship after winning three gold medals. The championship ended last week.
