Iraqi Taekwondo federation signs protocol with Iranian province
11/08/2012 09:18ERBIL, Aug.11 (AKnews)- Iraqi Taekwondo Federation (ITF) and senior sports officials of Iranian Western Azerbaijan province have signed a protocol of relations and joint work, deputy for ITF chairman said.
Hussein Abdul-Rahman said in the past few days he visited the province and signed the protocol.
One of the "most important" points of the protocol is that the clubs and teams from each side should not visit the other side without the approval of their federations.
The parties to the protocol also agreed on organizing a training camp for the West Azerbaijan players in Erbil, Abdul-Rahman said, adding the province will also receive any Iraqi team for training.
A delegation from the West Azerbaijan taekwondo team will visit Baghdad, Karbala and Najaf cities early September for holding matches with the teams from these cities, according to the official.
